Test footage with the X-H2s shot on the XF 16-55 f2.8 in F-Log2 C, 6K Open Gate, ProRes422HQ, 23.98fps, IBIS on. Graded in DaVinci Resolve using my F-Log2 C conversion LUTs with some creative adjustments and grain on top to give a subtle look. I uploaded this in 8K to take advantage of the vertical size of 6K open gate, so the footage is upscaled very minimally, maybe 10%. The much wider color gamut of F-Gamut C gives much more accuracy and detail in the colors while providing more flexibility and image fidelity in the color grade. A day enjoying the sights of Universal Studios in Hollywood, CA. Shot on the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Moment 1.33x gold flare anamorphic lens using the Blackmagic Camera app. Color graded in DaVinci Resolve using my Apple Log creative LUTs (linked below) as a base, in addition to balancing, curves, halation, grain, and some blur. My goal with this look was to give it an anamorphic, cinematic and filmic style while taking off the edge and making it look more organic and nostalgic. You may notice some strange wobble effects on some shots, I didn't notice this until viewing it on a large screen. This is the result of the Blackmagic Camera app stabilizer combined with the anamorphic lens. Next time I'll just turn off the stabilizer and do it in post to avoid the jello effect. Hope you enjoy. Shot entirely on iPhone 15 Pro Max in ProRes Apple Log Color graded using my Apple Log to Rec.709 LUTs: https://geni.us/FuRYfB1 Song: Oregold by Joya licensed through TrackClub (free trial): https://geni.us/Za9V We got lucky and explored Colorado during peak fall colors this year. I was excited to test out ProRes Log on the iPhone 15 Pro Max on some real scenery. I shot all the footage using the 3 built-in lenses using the default camera app. As I was grading it, I was blown away by how easy the footage is to push and pull around, oftentimes forgetting that it was iPhone footage underneath my LUTs. The LUT I used from my Apple Log + Creative pack is the "VeryNice" LUT, then made basic exposure and white balance adjustments underneath. I topped it off with some nice grain and some slight HSL tweaks to get the leaves to really pop. The kitchen of Osteria La Buca Melrose captured on Sirui Night Walker Cine lenses and the Fujifilm X-H2s. Shot in 6K open gate ProRes422HQ in F-Log2, color graded in DaVinci Resolve using my Fuji LUTs. I've shot a couple client projects using this set of lenses and am very happy with them. I wanted an excuse to shoot some Fujifilm X-T3 footage. Here's my morning espresso ritual captured in silky smooth F-Log and color graded in Resolve using my LUTs for the creative look. Is the Fuji X-T3 still worth it in 2022? In my opinion, YES! How to color grade Log footage. Specifically, I will be working with Flog footage from my Fuji X-T3. These methods are crucial to getting the best image possible and can solve many issues that come with Log footage looking unnatural. The benefits and techniques of color grading and color correcting with curves. I am using Lumetri color inside Premiere Pro, but you can apply it to almost any editing or color grading software out there like DaVinci Resolve, FCP X, or Assimilate Scratch.
