Easy photography system for everyone
I use this system for street and everyday situations, it totally changed how I expose, and for me, this is the sweet spot for straight out of camera images. To be precise when you can't recover, or even want, from SOOC images, is a must. I love shooting in auto modes when I am sure I will be back home editing raws from a casual photowalk etc. For clients or SOOC work I always use this method. PSA: - There is probably something I don't understand and later down the road, this might change my views on this... But so far, the last years, this has been my most used way to expose film and digital. The camera for photography is a Fujifilm X100VI combined with two recipes, one black n white (Black Beauty, CaptnLook) and one color (Kodak Gold 200, FujiXweekly) POV clips are made with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 All music from : Epidemic sounds keywords: Ansel Adams Zone System, Fujifilm, straight out of camera jpeg, raw, exposure, recipes, street photography, mundane photography, challenge, black and white photography
Small town photographer
In this video I go on rambling about how and why i shoot small town photography. Firstly, I live in one, well, the `town` I live in don't even have a city status. There are struggles but also high rewards when you shoot the same locations over and over as in a small town. Ive found it change my style many times, as the frustration of not being satisfied with the images keeps pushing for better work. This goes on every aspect of photography, but ive never felt it as much as after I stayed in one location for a long period of time. I guess the keep on practising part is essential for all growth and I feel that here. Looking forward to the next chapter as I am barking on a week in black and white for my next mission. Ive started, but won't be disappointed if I fail, as ive never been able to shoot black and white for more than some hours before. Let's do it for the Bianconeri, Forza Juve! keywords, street photography, mundane, fujifilm, fujifilm x100vi, pov, sooc, straight out of camera, jpeg, film simulations, fujifilm simulations, small town,
Crossing Borders with Fujifilm
Do you shot with Fujifilm recipes? I have shot both Jpeg and RAW for a while. When I first started shooting Fujifilm after converting from Nikon/Sony, I was so interested in trying out the Fuji Recipes ive heard so much about. After testing it, first I loved them, but after the honeymoon phase got to the end, I slowly got back to editing Raw`s in Lightroom. Years gone by and I now find myself only shooting Jpeg`s again. After I stopped shooting Aperture Priority and went full manual (not that this is the way to go) I found that I suddenly enjoyed putting my shadows and highlights in Zones (Ansel Adams style). This zone system made me have more control of every bit in the image, much like when I shot film. I wont say I'll never edit a photo again, because that is also something I enjoy, just not with every single photo. I shoot a lot and like to evolve my style as much as possible, so frames need to blast out of my cameras. Ive learned a lot from watching/studying @FujiXWeekly recipes, and also @robertbreining and @jorgehurtado2879 are great jpeg shooters. I now have two recipes and feel it is a real game changer once again. Blues (plural) : Link to the book is no longer working as we have no more copies. Relaxing Street Photography contains a day of shooting with the Fujifilm x100vi in Oslo, Norway. The images are straight out of camera with an own recipe I am currently working on and will be release the same time as an upcoming project. More on this later... Still working on this new video camera but I am enjoying the time learning about it. Street Photography can be intimidating for me at times. It's all in the mood for myself. A Stunning Morning in Barcelona - Fuji X100VI
A Stunning Morning in Barcelona and with the Fujifilm X100VI as a travel camera is one magical combination. This little camera went with me into every scene without any problems. The video footage is I came back with are just as good as the Fujifilm X-T5. I spent 5 days in Barca and this video contains the first day and with the first sunrise. The family enjoyed every second here as it is really a town for all needs. 20 years ago I spent a year in Barcelona working a Bar. No plan other than party and enjoying life. Sadly photography was not on my mind at all, but to be able to shoot here now, after so many years was real fun. I missed a photo festival back in Norway as we manage to book the same dates, but go follow my friend @TommyNordpole and he will bring you some heat from Norways first ever Street Photography festival. Balanced frames with a new Fujifilm Recipe feat. Bae and Ricoh GR3x
Balanced frames in Street Photography has been my focus the last month. Combined this with a new fujifilm Recipe and I must say I have enjoyed my time on the streets. Hopefully you can get a little inspiration. At least try out a new Fuji recipe. Not much tweaking going into this, but I wanted to see how it looks almost straight out of the box. If overexposed you can get those pastels looking colours. Hope you enjoy. :)
Fujifilm X100VI For Recipes
Fujifilm X100VI for recipes Shooting film simulation recipes with this tiny camera is a blast. I take it out every day and the sooc images I get with these simulations makes me super excited to future photowalks. I can simply shoot more and skip a lot of Lightroom work. Sometimes I can enjoy some long edit hours, but for the most part, I like to be out shooting. I made two recipes that mimics what I like in my images. One I get a small Kodak vibe from and one that is a bit more toned down and a bit more like how I would do my Lightroom edits. Tho this changes from time to time, I will also try and share more of the recipes I do in the future. Seaside and Street Photography | Fuji X100VI and Nikon D90
Seaside and Street Photography | Fuji X100VI and Nikon D90 is a video about the new camera we got ( Fuji X100VI ) and pairing it up against an old favourite, the Nikon D90. The idea is nothing other than just exploring and having a great time shooting. Both are awesome cameras, and we very much enjoyed the time shooting. We have a Ricoh GR3x and Fuji X100VI video in the making, so if these cameras are of interest, stay tuned. I have shot exclusively with the Fuji X100VI for about a month now and I am enjoying every second with it. It's small and make pretty awesome images when paired with the film simulations baked in. Ive only shot with the Real Ace so far, but will dive into the other simulations and really looking forward to it. The camera is bigger than the Ricoh GR3x and I must say, I am a fan, as I think the Ricoh GR3x is pretty nice, it always felt a bit too small for my liking. This is off course different for us all, but for me, at this point, I will go for the Fuji X100VI. Looking forward to get back into making videos here on the YouTubes, as ive had a little break from social media in general now and feel inspired. PS, new IG account for you who choose to follow: @ahlansimsim@gimsim_ The fantastic music producer Paula Bee are serving me with a bunch of great beats. Bee on the look out for his release in the future, I will promote it on this channel when it's live. Proud and super happy for the long collaboration we have had together. 7 Stories of a Walking Photographer
Stories of a walking photographer is a series where I talk about my frames and show where they got shot. The camera I am using ( mama rb67 ) is my first medium format camera and therefor I might do stupid stuff, like double expose a lot of frames unintentionally. This has been my main struggle, as the camera shoot, for me, incredible negatives. All images are developed ( C-41 ) at home and scanned with Fujifilm XT5. Mamiya RB67 with CineStill 800T - A cinematic film
In these 2 rare days photographing with CineStill 800T I try out different techniques with the Mamiya RB67. Shooting medium format film has been an incredible learning experience and it makes me enjoy shooting, even more. The results from these days are not my proudest shots, but I did get to try some long exposures, under and over expose some frames, as well as a double exposure shot. After this one roll of Cinestill 800T ive developed and scanned a couple Kodak Gold 200 shots that I really am proud of makes me look forward to more film in the near future. Music: Epidemic Sounds. Snowy Side of Photography is my attempt on shooting a place that is mostly known for its summer vibes in the winter. Sno came in fast and are not going anywhere soon. It will be exciting to see, the weather forecast are talking about freezing temperatures down to -40 celsius. This is my first time shooting medium format. The camera I am using are a Mamiya rB67 with a 6x4.5 back, so I can get up to 15 shots per roll of 120 film. I choose to try Portra 400 on the first photography walk. This is a roll I have shot on 35mm before and been happy with the results. It's also a crazy popular film. Anyway, I had a blast shooting with the camera and both the developing process as well as the scanning was interesting, scary and fun. It actually worked... :) Thank you for 2023, I am looking forward to the first video to make for 2024. Stay cool, be good and peace. Shooting straight out of camera is so much fun. When I first got introduced to Fujifilm I didn't even think about these simulations. What a fantastic community the SOOC is. Go ahead and see @FujiXWeekly for your film settings and read about photography on www.fujixweekly.com . My street photography is turning into something different these days. I must say I like it, but it might just be the season, as now it is really starting to get cold here in Norway. In the winter season I am focusing on upping my editing game. Lightroom is my program of choice. But then it is super fine to enjoy a day out just shooting jpegs and not think about editing. Unless I get a fantastic image, haha, but for me, that's not that often. I enjoy these Recipies from fujixweekly combined with vintage lenses. The perfect combination with Fujifilm X-T5. I regret not getting this sooner
There are always new things to learn in this photography journey. This chapter is one i aim really happy to go into. I have always wanted to test out vintage lenses, and getting a couple to try out on my digital camera has been a game changer for me. I must say i enjoyed shooting manual lenses. Taking a bit more time and setting up the frames a bit more liberate than i usually do. Not the best images in this video either, but i am growing and i enjoy this search for better frames a lot. Thank you for hanging around with me, i wanted this time to focus on how i normally edit photos, but i know some of you want to see some Film simulations. Different streets, different setup (Fun for Street Photographers!?)
* first, apologies for the re upload and the new Title. A bird told me i had to change it up. ------ Could it be too much to use the flash in the streets? No Bruce Gilden attempts in this video at all. But i wanted to see if i could use a flash out in the Streets. For me, this was a challenge, a huge one. I started straight in the main city of Stockholm, at night. The photos here are absolutely not my best but after a little while i came to enjoy the shots. More important, i started to enjoy the whole process a lot more than i thought i would. Have you ever tried flash in the streets? This is something i will try and work more on. I have some ideas about i want to test it here where i live and im looking forward to do so. Hope you enjoy this little video. There are always some issues when im planning some videos. Creative Exercise with Ricoh GR3x
This Creative Excercise is something to try, if you feel like challenging your creative self. As a graffiti artist I've made bent letters and watched a lot of obscured letter structures. Will this be an advantage in this Street Game!? Ive had a three hour time limit to do this, and after i was finished, i definitely felt i have worked my creative brainparts. I can highly recommend this exercise to all photographers wanting to start seeing a bit more creative. Im going on a photo trip, so expect some street photo from Sweden in the next episodes. Cinebloom Effect with Street Photography
I didn't think i would notice the difference when i screwed the Moment Cinebloom filter on. I took upon me the challenge to shoot night time street photography in Oslo, Norway, using the Fujifilm X-T5, 33mm fujinon and this filter. The capitol always bring cool subjects and serve it with an awesome backdrops in these nice `big` city surroundings. All images are edited in Adobe Lightroom and the video is made in Premiere Pro. I have used DJI action 2 for the POV shots and the Fujifilm X-T5 combined with the 33mm f/1.4 WR lens for all the other film shots. Storm Suburbia feat. 33mm Fujifilm | POV
Storm Suburbia is a POV session i had walking the streets of Moss, Norway. The nation got hit with a massive storm that destroyed homes, land and people needed to evacuate. My location was on the outside, so we got mainly rain and windy days. Photographing in the rain is a great way to get in those moody vibes, tho my approach here was to document the life of people getting ready for the weather that is expecting to arrive any moment. 33mm was a very nice focal length and I'm super happy with the quality from this lens so far. A great festival it was, if you are ever in Fredrikstad, Norway, around summertime, it's highly recommended to visit MƄnefestivalen. Together with Rafael, Samuel, The Bae and Jdawg we enjoyed one of our finest summer vacation to date. 33mm Fujifilm lens is my newest buy, and it really is something special. The focal length is great for my style of street photography and everyday cary. I was also testing out a new action camera, so now i will post more POVs in the future, and i am planning to showcase all photos taken, not just the ones i like. I belive this type of transparency is crucial for my own growth aswell for you who choose to follow along on this photography journey we are on. See my sons YouTube channel if you want to check out the last vaycay journey we had to Langdrag Nature park here: https://youtu.be/6ceQbH6LPKU Enjoy and Be Good #fujifilm #33mm #ricohgriii #festival #portrait #painting #spraycans #fujixt5 #streetphotography #naturephotography #mountainhike #cabinlife #cllimbing

All photos are edited in Lightroom with only minor tweaks. Mainly Highlight, shadow sliders are used with the curves for some minor contrast. I shoot Street photography and use my 56mm on the Fuji and the Gr3x has a 40mm full frame equivalent. Music in this video has been taken from some dirty folders laying on my other other other hardrive, made in around 2009 ish.. #streetphotography #fujifilmxt5 #ricohgriii

Night Photography on Film and Reciprocity Failure
Night Photography has been a real fun project lately. Trying to get a look detailed as day, but still have nighttime sky and vibe is a great challenge. When i started shooting at night, i opened my lens to the max and hoped to get some in focus. This new method i am testing in this video gives me everything in focus, while still maintaining that night feel. As i am on my journey to learn photography, this was a real eyeopener for me. Photos at f/8 to even f/16 at night is super fun. Hope you enjoy.
Street Photography POV in Oslo, Norway
30 DAY FREE MUSIC FOR YOUR SOCIALS: https://share.epidemicsound.com/djcsnc I have now tried my first roll of Portra 400 and the experience was fun, the results were interesting. I choose the Sunny16 rule as this camera has no working light meter and i did not want to use an external meter as that would slow me down to much for street photography. This time i had two hours in Oslo, Norway and it was an overcast day. After the sunny16 rule, overcast settings would be, f5,6 and shutter at 1/500 as that is the closest i have to 400. I wanted to have this washed out look, so tried to overexpose with setting the ISO to 200. I liked how this look came out. Thanks for watching and until next time, enjoy. ------------- street photography, canon, film photography, portra400, analog, film, oslo, norway, pov, point of view, kodak, epidemic sounds,
Paris, birthplace of Street Photography
Paris is considered to be the birthplace of street photography. After spending only 5 days, i quickly understood how amazing this city is for photographing the streets. I brought with me a film camera and two digital cameras. This first video contains a little of the photos taken with my Fujifilm X-T5. I hope you enjoy this little video and are excited for some more in the future. :) #streetphotography #fujifilmxt5
First year of photography
This is my `First year of photography`on YouTube and it has gone by so fast. Starting out with a Sony camera and ending the year with two FujiFilm and a Nikon Film camera is a good start on this new journey. The amount of shots taken and knowledge absorbed is really feeling on me. I have a much clearer mind for what is to come. That is here on YouTube and my photography in general. The year had some high points as off course traveling is again something we all can do. London was a great experience shooting. Old backdrops, new architectures, multi cultural communities. Thankful for my new friends, and all you people giving me these cool good vibes here on The YouTubes. Stay cool and enjoy. ...did someone say Paris(!)? #streetphotography
Fine tuned settings - Fuji X-T5
This recipe from www.fujixweekly.com is my favourite for black and white photography. Ive used this same but with the push process version a lot, and it is absolutely awesome. See this link to find out more about that Post process recipe: https://youtu.be/eahAcLIvg8Y Kodak Tri-X 400 got on the market in 1940“s, it has since then been the standard for a lot of photographers. Night in Motion
Night in Motion is a video where i experiment using slow shutter in low light. The rule for Night Photography shooting is double your focal length. This night i was using my 35mm f/2 so my shutter should be at 1/70 for the best possible image quality. I work on my techniques these days, and by slowing down and accepting blur as a feel of motion in my photos are something i really enjoy. Are you testing these settings? I find it relaxing and very fun to shot with these at night seasons. #fujifilmxt5 #streetphotography ............... .āļø Support the channel: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/subography š¶āāļøFollow me! ā«ļøInstagram: @Subography ā«ļøVero: https://www.vero.co/subography š¬ My YouTube Gear! ā«ļøGoPro Hero 9: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/gopro/hero9-black-1049274 ā«ļøStrap: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/gopro/brystsele-performance-chest-mount-1040871 šø Photography Kit! ā«ļøFujifilm XT-5: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/x-t5-body-silver-1057894 ā«ļøFujifilm X-Pro 2: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/x-pro3-svart-1045825 ā«ļø27mm Pancake Lens: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/fujinon-xf-27mm-f28-r-wr-1050573 ā«ļø35mm Lens: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/fujinon-xf-35mm-f2-r-wr-solv-1022629 ā«ļø50mm Lens: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/fujinon-xf-50mm-f20-r-wr-solv-1031755
Amazing Foggy Day for Landscape Photography | POV
Foggy Fujifilm Photography this day was awesome. We had a good two, three days with fog and i wanted to try out this Kodak Ektar 100 Film Simulation. All snaps in this video are Jpegs straight out of camera with no edits. These are photos you can expect while using this Film Simulation. Go over to www.fujixweekly.com and find your sensor (i used X-trans 3) and start shooting with Ektar 100. The recipe works real good with landscape and produce vibrant colors. Not as good for portraits, but we have other sims for that. Hope you enjoy the new segment as shooting with Jpeg are real fun and something I've dived straight into after switching from Sony to Fuji body. ------------------- āļø Support the channel: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/subography š¶āāļøFollow me! ā«ļøInstagram: @kim4-p ā«ļøVero: https://www.vero.co/subography š¬ My YouTube Gear! ā«ļøGoPro Hero 9: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/gopro/hero9-black-1049274. ā«ļøStrap: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/gopro/brystsele-performance-chest-mount-1040871 šø Photography Kit! ā«ļøFujifilm X-Pro 2: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/x-pro3-svart-1045825 ā«ļø27mm Pancake Lens: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/fujinon-xf-27mm-f28-r-wr-1050573 ā«ļø50mm Lens: https://www.scandinavianphoto.no/fujifilm/fujinon-xf-50mm-f20-r-wr-solv-1031755 ----------------------- landscape photography, foggy photography, fuji, recipe, fujixweekly, kodak, ektar100,

Testing Grain Recipe | POV Street Photography
This is in my opinion the best Recipe when we talk about grain, well, at least it is very interesting and super fun to shot with. These straight out of camera Jpegs are looking contrasty and grainy as the letter f.. I took a good 1 hour ish drive to Fredriksten fortress in Halden, Norway. Halden is widely known for cars, and... well, cars, but my focus was to get some contrasty pictures and play with this awesome recipe. Found it very fun and go check out more recipes: www.fujixweekly.com . * back to colors and Oslo for next weeks video. Enjoy #streetphotography #fujifilm #27mm
Photowalk in Oslo | Norway 2022 | Street Photography
This Photowalk in Oslo started at the Nationaltheater, went up to Frogner and down to GrĆønland. I was looking for reflections, interesting textures, silhouettes and candid moments. After i was in Frogner i understood i needed to get back and focus on color/shadows and people, i found it very nice there. Old beautiful houses with well dressed people. Very satisfying place to photograph in Oslo. I used my Fujifilm X-pro 2 with a 27mm f2.8 and used a Kodachrome 2 recipe from www.fujixweekly.com. I ended up shooting both jpeg and raw, so some images have a post production style on them. Usually i shoot only jpeg, as i found this to be very pleasing as i am saving time on editing and it is getting me an old school film look straight out of the camera. Tho lately I've switched on RAW and its hard to let the photos be as is. Working on it tho :) Youtube gear: Gopro 9 on a chest mount Enjoy šø

Good session and felt i learned a lot. The GoPro didn't want to work with me/i forgot to turn it on most of the time, so i lost footage from many of the captures, but it is what it is i guess. Real professional stuff. Hope you enjoy some good music and a chill streetwalk.
