I decided to start occasionally presenting myself with different video challenges to grow my filmmaking experience. Each challenge will be a different topic that hopefully presents a learning experience that I can share. For this first challenge, I just wanted to get the most diverse set of shots I could gather only filming by myself, with no outside help or other people to film. The vlog is back! I realized I started putting too much pressure on myself for my videos to be perfect before posting them. This only lead to me not posting as much, and not having as much fun editing videos. So I'm calling this the start of Season 2 of the vlog, and getting back to posting regularly, even if they're not perfect!

Early on in 2017, my life had reached an all time low. It hadn't turned out at all like I had hoped or expected it would. I was faced with a decision to either dwell on the pain and darkness, or to choose to see the beauty of each day regardless of circumstance. I picked up a camera and starting vlogging, making videos, and taking photos as often as I could. Making videos has changed the way I see the world and how I live my life. After finishing my bachelor's degree and master's degree in mechanical engineering, and working in the engineering industry for five years, I realized I had lost a lot of the creativity I once held. This video marks the beginning of my attempt to regain that creativity. I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to shooting video and editing, but I've always loved doing it. My hope is that this vlog will be an outlet to explore my creativity, as well as improving my skills with a camera and editing software along the way.
