Εμπνέυστηκε από τον Ουροβόρος όφι. Ο ουροβόρος όφις λέγεται ο όφις (το φίδι) τη στιγμή που ελίσσεται γύρω από τον εαυτό του και δαγκώνει την ουρά του αφαιρώντας το υπόλοιπο παλαιού δέρματός του, δίνοντας έτσι την εντύπωση ότι τρώει την ουρά του. Η περίκλειστη αναπαράστασή του είναι ένα αρχαίο σύμβολο της αιωνιότητας και της συνέχειας του κυκλικού χρόνου. Theodoriana is a village and former community in the Arta regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality, Central Tzoumerka, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 44.398 km2. In 2011 its population was 163 for the village and 173 for the community (including the village Skarpari). Northeast is the Trikala regional unit. The Pindos and the Athamanian mountains cross the northeastern part. The Acheloos river flows by the village along with the GR-30 (Arta - Trikala). The entire area of Theodoriana are mountains and pine trees along with forests dominate the whole municipality except for the upper parts and the valley areas where farmlands are located. #AMMOULIANI #CHALKIDIKI #SUMMER2021 #GREECE Η Αμμουλιανή είναι ένα νησάκι στον κόλπο του Αγίου Όρους, απέναντι από την Τρυπητή. Πρόκειται για το μοναδικό κατοικημένο νησί στη Χαλκιδική. Έχει έκταση περίπου 4,5 τετραγωνικά χιλιόμετρα και απέχει 120 χιλιόμετρα από τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Παλιότερα ήταν μετόχι της Μονής Βατοπεδίου ενώ μετά το 1925 έγινε τόπος εγκατάστασης Μικρασιατών προσφύγων. Σήμερα υπάγεται διοικητικά στο Δήμο Αριστοτέλη και έχει περίπου πεντακόσιους μόνιμους κατοίκους, που ασχολούνται με την αλιεία και τον τουρισμό. Κεντρικός ναός είναι του Αγίου Νικολάου, που χτίστηκε το 1865. Μερικές από τις παραλίες του νησιού είναι οι Αλυκές, τα Καραγάτσια, ο Άγιος Γεώργιος και η Μεγάλη Άμμος. Αξιοθέατο, εκτός από τον παλαιό ναό είναι και ο αρσανάς στο λιμάνι, που αποτελεί τυπικό δείγμα αγιορείτικης αρχιτεκτονικής. Βρίσκεται στο Ριζοβούνι Πρέβεζας 10km περίπου από την Φιλιππιάδας του Ν. Πρέβεζας. Η σημερινή όψη των λόφων Κοκκινοπηλού είναι ένα ασυνήθιστο γεωλογικό και φυσικό φαινόμενο. Οι βροχές μετέτρεψαν αυτό το χαμηλό οροπέδιο ερυθρογής (Terra Rossa, οξείδια του σιδήρου με άργιλο) σε ένα εναλλασσόμενο τοπίο με λοφίσκους και μικρές χαράδρες. Το βρόχινο νερό παρασέρνει το απαλό αυτό ερυθρό γεωλογικό υλικό προς την πεδιάδα της Στεφάνης όπου ακόμα και τα χωράφια όταν οργώνονται φαίνονται κατακόκκινα. Σύμφωνα με πρόσφατες δημοσιεύσεις επιστημόνων "η "ερυθρά γη" (terra rossa), κοινώς κοκκινόχωμα, που υπάρχει στην Ελλάδα και σε άλλες χώρες της Νότιας Ευρώπης, όπως η Ισπανία και η Ιταλία, έφτασε στα μέρη μας διασχίζοντας την Μεσόγειο με την μορφή αφρικανικής σκόνης που μετέφεραν οι νότιοι άνεμοι και με προέλευση τις περιοχές της Σαχάρας και του Σαχέλ, σύμφωνα με μια νέα χημική και ορυκτολογική έρευνα ισπανών και αμερικανών ερευνητών Follow me on my Socials! #greece #mountains #zagorohoria #greekvillages The village of Papingo is located very near the northern end of the Vikos Gorge and is inside the Vikos–Aoös National Park. It attracts many hikers and mountaineers from around the world. The Vikos Gorge is the largest canyon in Greece and arguably in all of Europe: it is the gorge with the greatest depth to width ratio, according to the Guinness Book of Records 1997. The village of Papingo is surrounded by deciduous forests and topped by the snowcapped Astraka peak of Mt Tymphe, that towers over the village. It has modest lodging provisions as well as tavernas serving traditional food, coffee, and spirits. The climate of the region is Mediterranean transitioning to Continental with heavy snowfalls in the winter and considerable rainfall and humidity also during the other seasons of the year. There is a very diverse flora and fauna, because of the many microenvironments, such as streams, rivers, lakes, forests, agricultural land, coppices, pasture, sub-alpine grassland and the unique biotope of the Vikos Gorge. A footpath leads up from the village through the sub-alpine plateaus of Mt Tymphe to Drakolimni (Dragonlake), a glacial lake at an altitude of 2000 m. The trek to the lake lasts about 5 hours. Along the way, at an altitude of 1950 m, there is a mountain refuge, the Mountain Hut of Tymphe or of Astraka. It normally operates from May to October although it has solar panels that enable its use throughout the year. Use during the winter months can be arranged by appointment. Another landscape attraction is a series of rock pools known as the Kolymbethres (Gr. term for "baptismal fonts") or the Ovires of Rogovos, which have been formed in the limestone by the so-called stream of Rogovos running down Mt Tymphe. Winter in Budapest | Capital of Hungary ►The Hungarian capital, Budapest, is situated on the banks of the Danube in Central Europe.
