Visual inspections are the most common type of drone roof inspection. Equipped with high-resolution cameras, drones can capture detailed images and videos of the roof’s surface. This method is excellent for identifying visible damage such as missing shingles, cracked tiles, or debris accumulation. Here is a simple BTS of a drone roofing photo inspection job that I was contracted by a Farmers insurance agent to do for a property that needed images of a replaced roof. Well here’s an awesome location I want to share with you through this cinematic video I put together, and captured with my Mavic 3, as I was coming from the 2022 UAV Commercial Drone Expo. The place is called “The Seven Magic Mountains.” It’s an exciting art exhibit that is south of Las Vegas, Nevada. The work was created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondiones. The great thing about this location, is that it’s nothing but class - G airspace however remember are max altitude is still 400 feet. The exhibit features 7 vibrant-colored boulder structures that are vertically stacked, and each piece is estimated to stand at around 35ft and are very hard to miss. You can’t help but notice them from the freeway. It’s positioned against the Mojave Desert landscape, which makes a great subject for dramatic drone video and photography.
